Our purpose statement: Security Youth Group exists to reach out to the lost kids in our community by following The Seven Checkpoints (Authentic Faith, God’s Authority, Everybody Matters, Spiritual Discipline, Moral Boundaries, God-centered Friendships, Wise Choices), by developing leaders who characterize the 4 E’s (Envision, Enable, Empower, Energize) and by having a purpose driven youth group that has a healthy balance in all 5 areas of ministry (Evangelism, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, Worship).

Ministry Schedule: Sunday @ 6:30 pm 

We meet in the Sr. High Room or the Undercroft which is located in the basement of the church.  To find out the times and schedule of all Sr. High youth events consult the youth calendar hanging on the youth bulletin board inside of Fellowship Hall.

Middle School Youth Group

Our purpose statement: Middle School Youth Group is for students 6th - 8th grade. Our purpose is to focus on living a Christ centered life in a fun, friendly and safe environment. During the school year we have game nights, experience a Corn Maze, cheer on the Flint Generals, meet other middle school youth at UMC sponsored lock-ins, lead resident activity hour at a local nursing home, usher or greet during Sunday worship services, and much, much more.

Youth Drama

Drama can transform! Whether it's youth who were extremely shy who become bold or youth who are bold who become refined - each youth is transformed! The drama team has performed skits for Christmas, sermon series, and for the youth group as well as performing a  Murder Mystery!

Soul'd Out Praise Band

One of the great things about a youth band is that we are not perfect.  We encourage all of the teens who want to learn to play or sing in a youth band to participate.  The youth band plays for youth group, during Sunday worship services and at Myers Lake Campground.
