The goal of the Evangelism Committee is to carry out the first part of the Flushing United Methodist Church Mission Statement:
Birthing Believers.
Do you know that 95% of Christians have never shared their faith with even one person? Have you ever wanted to share your faith with someone but felt afraid? The Evangelism Committee offers seminars to help you feel comfortable in sharing your faith.
The Evangelism Committee also strives to make a real presence in the community, meet the needs of the community and look for opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus Christ by participating in or hosting a variety of events: Trunk-or-Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Flushing Parade, Flushing Candle Walk, Flushing Fall Harvest Festival, Worship in the Park and Ark Almighty, a program designed to match people with needs to people with skills to meet those needs.
Everyone who is a part of Flushing United Methodist Church is a minister and a missionary-Go and share the love of Jesus Christ with someone in need.
