Christe holds a Bachelor of Music degree, and a Master's in Social Work, both from Michigan State University.  She has been involved in music ministry for over 25 years.  She has served churches in both the Lansing and Flint areas, and has been on staff at Flushing UMC since 1988.  Christie has three children, Rachel, Joel, and Kathryn.
